Convertkit Newsletter – Stay in Touch With Your Subscribers

Sam – Thrift Plan Enjoy – July 2024

The main driver for setting up all three of my blogs, was building a community of like-minded people and aiming to ensure people who are facing struggles, feel less alone. This means staying in regular contact with my subscribers and ensuring I engage with my target audience, to successfully get my message across. Getting my message out there about money-saving tips, making family memories and the struggles of being a working mum, is important to me.

#aff – A new way to stay in touch with your subscribers

Today, I’m really excited to announce that ConvertKit is introducing a Newsletter Plan, which is free for up to 10,000 subscribers.

I’ve spoken with ConvertKit, seen behind the scenes of the new plan, **and I can tell you it’s really going to help you get your newsletter running.

It’s everything you need to start, grow, and monetize your newsletter… for free.

The Newsletter Plan includes:

  • Unlimited emails (so you’ll always be able to ship your work)
  • Unlimited sign-up forms (to grow your list from the ground up)
  • Unlimited landing pages (with ConvertKit’s included landing page builder)
  • One email sequence (perfect for a welcome sequence!)
  • One basic **visual automation (to start learning how to automate your list)
  • Audience tagging & segmentation (for keeping your subscribers organized)
  • Access to commerce features (to start selling your digital products or coaching)
  • Access to free & smart Recommendations (to organically build your network)

Not only do you get to build your audience off of social media, you can grow your subscriber count to 10,000 people before you have to pay a dime.

Out of all the ESPs and newsletter platforms out there—and, believe me, there are many—ConvertKit’s Newsletter Plan is the most generous free plan for any creator to start their newsletter today.

Why it’s important to stay in contact with subscribers via a newsletter

The main driver for setting up all three of my blogs, was building a community of like-minded people and aiming to ensure people who are facing struggles, feel less alone. This means staying in regular contact with my subscribers and ensuring I engage with my target audience, to get my message across successfully. Getting my message out there about money-saving tips, making family memories and the struggles of being a working mum, is important to me.

Here are some tips on why it is important to have a subscriber list

Boost social media engagement

I always include my social media links in my newsletters. Therefore, it’s a direct way for subscribers to follow me on social media and check out the range of social platforms I am on. Often when someone discovers you on one social media platform, it can be difficult to advertise your other platforms to people.

Increase traffic to your website

When creating a newsletter, you will naturally include links to your own website. A good way to do this is to include the list of recent blog posts on your website.

Gathering feedback

When running a blog and getting a message across to your target audience, it’s important to understand your audiences needs and wants.

One way I do this, is by analysing my blog statistics. using Google Analytics and the stats in the social media apps.

Direct line of communication to subscribers

I talk about building a community, but what does that really mean? I started my main blog with the aim of raising awareness about mental health. As pregnancy was the catalyst for my decline in mental health, the two subjects for me are interlinked. Therefore, my main messages are mental health and parenting. Along with the other daily life things I am passionate about – money-saving, planning, organising, creating family memories, work-life balance, spirituality, self-development, and meditation.

Create personalised content

Sometimes when you are publishing to a website and your content will be available online, there are limits to what you can say. Almost rules you need to follow. Even when posting on social media platforms, there are community guidelines to follow.

Often when writing as a direct line to your subscribers, you have the freedom to be more honest, conversational and free with what you have to say. Resulting in more genuine communications, which is pretty powerful.

Increase brand awareness

When I set up my first blog, I spent a lot of time working on my branding, including deliberating over the name of the blog and trying out various options. I have also kept the same brand colours and fonts since I began. The same applies for the two subsequent blogs that I set up.
