Increase Productivity With the Time Blocking Technique – Thrift Plan Enjoy

Welcome to my article on increasing Productivity With the Time Blocking Technique. In this post, I discuss the techniques you can use to maximise your time, especially during busy periods.

Both in my career and personal life, I have experienced juggling multiple priorities and sometimes feeling so overwhelmed I don’t know which task to work on next. Having used time blocking, I find it allows me to focus on one task at a time. And I buy into the concept of being more productive by focusing on one similar set of priorities or one focused task.

What do you think sets apart the high achievers in this world, those who seem to easily get through their workload, from those of us who feel like we struggle? Often, hard work and a good management method can help you become more productive.

Different techniques in the time-blocking method

Pomodoro Technique

This technique can help you maintain focus. Set a timer for 25 minutes to concentrate on focused work. At the end of the task, take a short break.

Timeboxing

This technique helps you work efficiently and productively. Set a realistic limit on how much time you’ll spend on each task.

Task batching

Group similar tasks together to work on them in one designated time block.

Day theming

This technique can help you organise your priorities and focus on what needs to be done. Dedicate the whole day to completing a specific task. This could be particularly useful when doing something like a tax return.
