I was recently out with a friend and the most exciting part of our conversation was planning where we want to travel next. It’s exciting to talk about the logistics, check out prices online, and wonder what the experience would be like.
This being the case, it’s time I shared my ultimate travel bucket list with you all. Let’s hope by putting this out into the universe, some of my trips happen soon! Everybody’s list will be different, as we all have different tastes and previous experiences.

A girlie weekend in Spain
This had to come top of this list. It’s what we planned during our mid-week catch-up. And honestly, if it doesn’t happen, I will be so disappointed. But hey, life throws curve balls your way a lot when you have kids. So we will see what happens.
We are not fixated on a particular resort. I loved Torremolinos when I visited a few years ago. Benidorm is a great contender for a more lively weekend. I mean, just getting away from the house and kids is good for us. Hopefully, we might get stranded due to “airport delays” so we can stay longer. Anyone who’s ever partied in Ibiza knows people get lost on the island and miss their return dates. Maybe I’m too old for that now. Hmmm!
New York
I just want to walk down the streets of New York, preferably in the cold weather, and stare at the apartment buildings. How they look exactly like they do in the TV Programmes. It would be great to visit in the lead-up to Christmas shopping. Maybe even stay for New Years’ celebrations.
Italy
My hubby and I never had a honeymoon and it’s long overdue. I would love a short break in Italy, to just sit around in the sun, drink, and eat. I constantly look at photos online of how picturesque it is. I would consider a cruise to various resorts, including Italy. Better get looking.
Disneyland
I visited Disneyland in Florida twice before, but it was years ago. I am not sure we would enjoy it as a family. My little one is still a bit young for how much stamina you need to tackle the parks and sightseeing. We may leave it a few years and do Disneyland Paris. For anyone who’s been, drop your advice below, please.
Mexico
We have visited Mexico once, and it was absolute heaven. Forget five stars, this is seven stars and you’re pampered for a whole two weeks. Because it’s simply so beautiful, I would like to return. Some of the best holiday experiences we will never forget happened during this holiday. Including seeing a turtle lay eggs (we didn’t get too close, or take pictures, just watched from afar), and a staff member cutting a coconut fresh off the trees for us to drink out of. Swimming in a cenote. A night out at Cocobongos. And this was in addition to the wonderful resort, which had everything you could wish for.
Places I love to visit
Lanzarote
As a family, Lanzarote is our chosen destination and one place I’ve always wanted to stay, is Be Live Lanzarote Beach. There is something for everyone, from the kids club, to amazing restaurants and rooms. This hotel is going on the wish list.
UK getaways
If you follow any of my blogs, you will know we love holidays in the UK. Growing up, both my hubby and I would go on caravan holidays and we rarely went abroad, due to our families having limited funds. We still had fun and we remember those holidays fondly. Maybe you want to book a short break away in the UK. Either as a couple or something for all the family to enjoy? We will be planning our next one soon!
Great list!! Absolutely loved NYC it’s just like the movies. Also, Spain is always a fabulous idea what a good compilation you’ve put together. Thanks for sharing!

Glad you enjoyed reading. I can’t wait for the ‘just like the movies’ feeling in New York. Spain is so beautiful, I wouldn’t mind which resort I went to.
Ooh I love this! So many of these are on my bucket list too – a girlie weekend in Spain sounds amazing and I’d love to visit Italy and New York. Paris is at the top of my list too! I went to Disneyland Paris a few times when I was younger (I was around 2 and a half the first time) and I really enjoyed it, so I hope you do too if you make it there! Thank you so much for sharing x

Mexico is so beautiful and it’s an experience I will never forget. You will get there eventually.
You definitely can’t go wrong with any of your choices there…. except maybe Disney in Florida. There are much better parks and options in Florida in our view. You’ll spend most of your day fighting crowds and waiting in line, which when you’re spending a fortune to get in, isn’t ideal. Just our view though!
Lanzarote we love, New York we love, Italy – particularly Rome and Sorrento are beautiful and on our must-return list.
Hope you manage to get to all our these places!

Thank you for these great suggestions. I kind of agree about the Disney parks. I was 21 years old when I went and it was so tiring every day. I think my little one needs to be a lot older before we consider it.
This is such a fun list! The girlie weekend in Spain sounds marvelous and Disneyland and Disneyworld are both on my bucket list because I haven’t been to either!

I can’t wait for the girlie weekend – we were texting about it today! And both Disneyland and Disneyworld are contenders for us. Hope you get to go soon!
This is such a fab travel bucket list! I’ve always wanted to go to Spain and the Florida Disneyworld. As a New Yorker, you have to visit the Rockefeller Center during the Christmas Season. It’s beautiful.

For a while, touring Italy has been at the top of my bucket list. And earlier this year, I finally got to do it! Driving through the country was very pleasant and picturesque there. I loved seeing all the grape vineyards there.
