Because I love writing, I naturally love reading. It’s something we make a point of doing with my little one. Before she was even born, we had picked up the Roald Dahl full collection, and the Mr Men books. All charity shop purchases and a real bargain!

Reading for mental health

I’m just getting back into reading and I’m loving it. Whenever I am feeling mentally and emotionally drained, reading snaps me out of it for a while. That’s how vital it is to our well-being.

Research has proven our brains don’t know the difference between reality and imagination. How amazing, to read stories and be transported to another place and time. No wonder it makes us feel better.
