TRIGGER WARNING – Depression, anxiety, paranoia & touch on baby loss

I’ve wanted to talk about MY BIRTH STORY for a while. But I simply haven’t been ready. You may have seen a TikTok post about the dangers of postpartum depression. This subject is something I am passionate about. Because my mental health significantly worsened during pregnancy. Hormones played a huge part in my declining mental well-being.

In this video I am discussing the #physical impact of #panicattacks I’m here to help #breakthestigma & show the reality of #mentalhealth LETS make a pact – to talk #openly and #honestly about the things we struggle with. Let’s also BE KIND ???????? It’s almost 3 years since my #mentalbreakdown – I feel able to share my story – due to the time which has passed. I hope it helps you ???????????? Sending love, hugs, strength, solidarity to you today – you are not alone if you are also #strugglingmentally #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #mummycontentcreator #schoolrunmum #mummyconqueringanxiety

It took me a lot to post this video. Please check out part one – where I talk about the physical impact of panic attacks – @Sam | Mummy Conquering Anxiety Since starting my #blog there have been many occasions where I’ve hesitated with a post – but I’ve ALWAYS posted the video or written the truth on my blog ???? WHY – because doing anything other than that, would feed into the #stigma surrounding #mentalhealth I’m here to help #breakthestigma & show the reality of #life & #motherhood EVERYBODY you meet has a #struggle #challenge or circumstance which is causing issues. Some of life’s challenges are just hidden! LETS make a pact – to talk #openly and #honestly about the things we struggle with. Let’s also BE KIND ???????? I GUARANTEE – #sharingyourstory will help others. How do I know this? My #blog was born in July 2021 & since then several people have told me my posts help them ???? social media also helps me #mentally & I silently watch a lot of content, related to issues going on in my life. I watch videos related to struggles I have – that are maybe just too raw to talk about (we all have those). The creators of those videos may never know they helped me – but they did! ✅ It’s your choice how much of your life you share on social media. ❤️ #boundaries are also important, especially if you are prone to #mentalhealthproblems And if it’s a choice between looking after yourself or helping others – ALWAYS look after yourself first. It’s almost 3 years since my #mentalbreakdown – I feel able to share this story – due to the time which has passed. I hope it helps you ???????????? Sending love, hugs, strength, solidarity to you today ❤️ #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #anxiety #mummycontentcreator #schoolrunmum #mummyconqueringanxiety

If you have a #mum friend, ask how they are doing! Arrange to help them if you can! You might be faced with a brick wall. Some people aren’t ready to admit they need help. Keep trying ✅???? There is no perfect solution. I still have bad mental health days & implement a lot of techniques to stay well. But checking in, asking, texting, inviting people round, and offering help, is something we can ALL start doing ❤️❤️❤️???????????? #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #mums #newmum #newmummy #psychosis #maternalhealth #mummy #mummylife #parent #parents #dads #postpartum #postpartumpsychosis #postpartumdepresssion #postpartummentalhealth #dadsoftiktok #parentsoftiktok #mumsoftiktok #mumsontiktok #fyp #viral #foryou #foryoupage

This blog is all about raising awareness about mental health.

As pregnancy was the catalyst for my decline in mental health, the two subjects for me are interlinked. Therefore, this blog will consist of topics related to both my motherhood and mental health journey.

More about why I started this blog…

On my little comfy corner of the internet, you will find warmth & honesty. A story of me conquering my anxiety and aiming to thrive in all areas of life.

My motivation for starting this blog is to share my story. During an incredibly difficult time in my life: recovering from a breakdown and impending redundancy, writing became my therapy, my outlet, and what I felt compelled to do.

I imagine the readers of this blog as my online support group. All are here to help one another. If my blog posts can help just one person, I have done my job!

  1. I like how you point out that anxiety is not necessarily a mental health problem unless it interferes with your daily functioning. That is a critical distinction. Even if I experience anxiety at times and in certain situations, it does not necessarily imply that I cannot live the life I desire. Excellent post!

  2. I like that you point out that having anxiety is not necessarily a mental health problem until it interferes in some way with the functioning of your life. That is an important distinction. Just because I experience anxiety at times and in certain situations, it can still mean that I can live the life I want. Great post!
