Read all about our Family Day Out at Air Haus Sheffield…

Some days out catch you by surprise in the best possible way — and our trip to Air Haus was exactly that. I’d heard people rave about the gigantic bouncy house, but nothing prepared me for just how much fun we’d all have as a family. If you’re looking for something energetic, silly, and genuinely enjoyable for both kids and adults, this one needs to go straight on your list.
Why Air Haus Is Perfect for Families
Air Haus is based near Sheffield and works brilliantly as a standalone activity or as an add‑on to a Meadowhall trip. What makes it stand out is how inclusive it is. So many places are “for the kids” while adults hover around the edges — but here, grown‑ups can join in the fun too.
We booked adult tickets so we could bounce alongside our little one, and honestly, it made the whole experience. No sitting on the sidelines. No scrolling on our phones. Just proper, messy, joyful family time.
Phones Away, Fun On
One of my favourite parts? We put our phones in the locker.
(Okay… apart from grabbing a quick video because I am a blogger after all.)
But mostly, it was just the three of us bouncing, laughing, falling over, and racing each other across inflatable obstacles. There’s something oddly freeing about being in a giant bouncy house as an adult — you forget the to‑do lists, the mental load, the noise of everyday life. You just play.
The Ninja Warrior Section… and Dad’s Hero Moment
Now, let’s talk about the dark ninja warrior section at the back. I took one look and thought, “Absolutely not.”
Dad, however, took it as a personal challenge.
He squeezed through tunnels, crawled through the dark, and pushed our little one through every twist and turn like an absolute champ. I was equal parts impressed and relieved it wasn’t me in there.
The Aftermath: Aching Ankles, Happy Hearts
I won’t lie — my ankles and hips definitely reminded me the next day that I am no longer 18. But honestly? Worth every twinge. There’s something so special about doing an activity where you’re all equally involved, equally silly, and equally exhausted by the end.
Will We Go Back? Absolutely.
This is one of those places we’ll return to again and again. It’s fun, it’s active, it’s indoors (a win for British weather), and it’s something we can all enjoy together.
If you’re planning a family day out near Sheffield — or you’re already heading to Meadowhall and want to add something extra — Air Haus is a brilliant choice.
Final Thoughts
Days like this remind me why I love sharing our adventures. It’s not about perfection or curated moments — it’s about finding places where families can genuinely connect, laugh, and make memories. Air Haus gave us exactly that.
