Thank you so much for stopping by. Grab a drink and stay a while!
I’m Sam — mum to one feisty toddler, wife to a wonderful man, and a Northern girl who believes in squeezing every drop of joy out of family life. You’ll usually find me writing (lists, blog posts, brain dumps… anything really), planning our next day out, or getting far too excited about new stationery. Show me your post‑it’s, and we’re instantly friends.
After experiencing a breakdown, I realised how powerful it is to talk openly about our struggles. I started my blog to share my story honestly — the messy bits, the healing, the mum guilt, the small wins — in the hope that it helps someone else feel less alone.
Now, I create content for mums who want to make memories without breaking the bank. From days out and staycation reviews to mental health chats, SEN parenting, lifestyle tips, and side‑hustle ideas, my goal is simple: to help families enjoy life more, stress less, and feel supported along the way.

Thank you for your lovely comment.
I agree that anxiety is not necessarily a mental health problem. It comes and go. Thank you for sharing this awareness.

It definitely comes and goes.
I like how you point out that anxiety is not necessarily a mental health problem unless it interferes with your daily functioning. That is a critical distinction. Even if I experience anxiety at times and in certain situations, it does not necessarily imply that I cannot live the life I desire. Excellent post!
I like that you point out that having anxiety is not necessarily a mental health problem until it interferes in some way with the functioning of your life. That is an important distinction. Just because I experience anxiety at times and in certain situations, it can still mean that I can live the life I want. Great post!

Thank you and I totally agree the distinction is important.
